Operation iDream is the result of the dedicated effort of talented men and women from around the globe who choose to give of their lives to create opportunities for a better and brighter future for children in Zambia, Africa. Volunteers can be involved from their home country or can travel to iDream in person to have a tremendous impact on iDream students, the Masaiti district, and the future of Zambia as a nation.

We are so grateful for the incredible progress at Operation iDream with the recent additions of a community clinic, a dairy farm, a piggery, and an additional water tower over the past two years. Through generous donations, we have been able to build the core structure for transitional housing, where students in crisis may stay until they are able to move into a safe home in the community. We are currently seeking partnership opportunities to complete or build the following projects:

The iDream School has been widely accepted within a grateful community. Our administration and teachers provide a top-notch education to our students, despite a lack of books. Each classroom is equipped with one teacher’s manual for each subject. To teach a concept, the teachers must use what little resources they have to present the material. The children do not have the possibility of following along in the book because there simply aren’t any books! We would love to build and stock a fully functional library on site for students to use to supplement their academic experiences in the classroom. We would also love to provide each classroom with enough textbooks for the students to have a fuller understanding of the concepts presented to them by their teachers.

Volunteer teams regularly visit iDream Community School, the iDream Clinic, and the iDream Farm to assist Operation iDream staff in meeting ongoing medical, educational, and sustainability needs. Child sponsorship is one of the easiest ways to become involved with Operation iDream and a fantastic way to make an immediate positive impact on the life of a child. Operation iDream currently provides food, clothing, shelter, medical care, and education to more than 750 children. Your monthly donation of $38 will enable an orphaned, impoverished, or highly vulnerable child to grow and thrive in a loving, supportive environment. Specifically, your generous donation provides a child with shelter, nutritious food, access to a quality education, skills-based training, and the loving support of a family unit at Operation iDream.
