iDream Care Clinic

Through generous donations, Operation iDream was able to build a clinic near iDream Community School, bringing critical medical care closer to those who need it most. Since its completion in 2019, the iDream Clinic has been a beacon of hope to the surrounding community. Prior to its construction, residents of the Masaiti District near Ndola had no direct access to preventive healthcare or urgent medical support. Today, families feel an immense sense of relief and gratitude knowing that quality care is just around the corner.

Though modest in size, the clinic is well-organized and functional. It includes two triage and examination rooms with hospital beds, a small pharmacy, a waiting area, two restrooms, and an office for administrative use. A dedicated team of three medical staff runs the clinic during regular hours, with emergency services available on-call.

The clinic serves both the students at iDream Community School and the wider community. Students benefit from routine preventative care, such as deworming treatments, while the clinic also provides a range of essential services for all residents. These include treatment of common illnesses, vaccinations, routine testing, referrals for more complex conditions, public education on hygiene and family planning—and even childbirth support, with several babies delivered on-site.

Despite the dedication and skill of the staff, the clinic’s resources are often strained during times of high demand. In this rural, agricultural area, malaria remains a leading cause of illness and death. A single mosquito bite can trigger a life-threatening infection. Although malaria medication costs the equivalent of two US dollars, most families in the region live in extreme poverty and cannot afford the treatment.

This is where continued support makes all the difference. Donations ensure the clinic remains stocked with vital supplies and equipped to save lives. Every contribution helps sustain a facility that offers not just treatment, but hope, dignity, and the chance for a healthier future.
